Lea Salonga in Chicago

Tony Award winning star of Miss Saigon, Lea Salonga, will be kicking off her first U.S. concert tour in San Francisco, CA performing at Nob Hill Masonic Center.

She will be performing at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, then at Arie Crown Theater in Chicago, Illinois and concluding the tour at Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California.

It will be an intimate show with a mix of show tunes, jazz standards, and other popular favorites. Lea says she is very excited to embark on her first national tour and can’t wait to be back on stage.

Miss Saigon

Salonga gained international attention for her award winning lead role as Kim on Broadway in the 1991 production of Miss Saigon. She not only won a Tony award for Outstanding Performance by an actress in a musical, but also won an Outer Critics Circle Award and Laurence Olivier Award. She returned to Broadway in fall 2002, in which she starred in the hit production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammer-stein’s Flower Drum Song.

"Lea known for her pure, crystal clear voice is a musical icon in the Philippines and the American theater. Audiences have enjoyed listening to her voice from her Broadway recordings to the popular songs she recorded for the Disney films. This concert will present a repertoire of songs familiar to all audiences, young and old. We are honored to be part of this wonderful project," says Will Pasco, Producer.

Her vast array of theater credits also include Les Miserables, the witch in Into The Woods, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, The Goodbye Girl, They’re Playing Our Song, Grease, The Fantastics, Paper Moon, The Bad Seed, The Sound of Music and Annie.

Lea’s tour is being sponsored by Northwest Airlines. The musical director will be Gerard Salonga.

Tickets for her upcoming concerts can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and Asjent Productions.
